Silverfin is slow than usual. What can I check?
Silverfin is slow, what can you check?
Silverfin is a big complex application with many different subsystems. Therefore slowness can be caused by many different things and the search for a cause can be a lot like looking for a needle in a haystack.
When sending us a mail about Silverfin being slow, please add the following information:
- Your operating system (Windows 7/Windows 10/Mac OS X/…)
- Your browser (Chrome/Firefox/Safari/Edge/Explorer/…)
Note: Silverfin works best with Chrome/Firefox/Safari!
- The URL of the page where you experience slowness.
- Make a video (preferred by screen capture, but if this isn’t possible a video from your phone is fine too, as long as it is clear) or tell us which parts of Silverfin is slow in detail (filling in dates/input/load bar/…)
It is also good to check with your colleagues if they experience the same issue. You can also check if your internet speed is causing the slowness (you can check this on fast.com). The specifications of your computer (RAM/Processor speed/...) is also very useful to us if you have this information on hand.
It is important to note that when you experience slowness that you send us as much information as possible so that we can pinpoint exactly what is causing this. The more information we get, the easier it is for us to start working on a solution!
