How to use period sets
You can maintain one report with multiple period sets! This means that you can select which periods you want to see and when you want to see them!
You just need to 'Activate period sets' and it will ask you to name the existing set of periods.
You can then create new sets of periods and configure each period set just like you would the periods in any report.
In the user interface you simply select which period set you would like to see from those you've configured (see below). The report remembers the last period set selected by any user, so if you change it to quarterly period sets at quarter end, everyone will be looking at the same selection.
For locked reports, ask your admin user to add additional periods sets for you. For unlocked reports, you can do it yourself in the report editor.
Go and make some period sets already!
(Note the example shows monthly and quarterly period sets which is only possible when using monthly and quarterly file types in Silverfin).
